Unidentified Anomalous Signal

November 25, 2001

ELFRAD equipment detected a strong unknown signal on Sunday afternoon at 1:51 PM EST (18:51 UTC). This signal was transmitted with a frequency bandwidth from 1.92 to 2.01 hertz. The duration of this signal was 58 minutes and 55 seconds. The signal was a pulse type of transmission using a pulse width of .1 second repeating every .5 seconds.  These pulses were high level with an relative amplitude of 600 millivolts peak to peak.  The background noise level was 20 millivolts peak to peak.

The first graph below indicates transmission duration.
