U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has done an about face on his plan
to have a separate U.S. bank buy back the ‘toxic’ assets linked to the
Bernard Madoff ponzi scheme at current appraised value.
Instead, Geithner is going to guarantee the bad assets at their original
purchase price, which will only create new Ponzi Scheme and eventually
plunge the world banking system back to another round of havoc.
