In the last 48 hours sparks are flying from the backfire of
NATO
narratives, in the circles of the,
Group of Seven, European Union and
trans-Atlantic alignments.
Though the future is still undefined, and dangers
and suffering remain, the way is clearly opening for a new paradigm
of security and economic benefit for all.
On Feb. 24, the stage was set by these NATO circles to beat the drum
for,
more militarization of the economy,
more sanctions, more warfare and bloodshed, done in
the name of defending Ukraine,
...because yesterday was the occasion of the
third anniversary of Russia's
special military operation.
The core NATO narrative lie is:
"Russia wants to take over Europe," and
President Putin is a demonic autocrat...
But instead of conveying this lie, or any such
message, the day saw frenzy and foot-stomping, with more to come all
week.
Twelve trans-Atlantic government leaders went in person to Kiev
yesterday to grandstand, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
of Canada, who hosted a meeting of the
G7 - Group of Seven (in video
and in person) which, however, could not come up with a joint
statement, even by this morning.
U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer made a
ferocious speech, announcing the largest set of British sanctions
against Russia ever. On Thursday, Feb. 27, is Starmer's scheduled
meeting in Washington with President Donald Trump.
In Brussels, the same frenzy took place yesterday at the EU Foreign
Affairs Council meeting, where a
briefing was given by Ukraine's
Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, on "Russian
Aggression."
The 16th set of EU sanctions against
Russia was announced.
What could the meeting offer otherwise?
Only the date for another meeting...!
On March 6, a meeting of the European Council is
to convene in Brussels, on "enhancing military support" for Ukraine.
Kaja Kallas, EU High
Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,
announced at the Brussels meeting that she would depart for
Washington the next day, for mid-week meetings with Secretary of
State Marco Rubio and other officials, to set them straight.
When asked about President Trump being in
a "disinformation bubble," when it comes to Russia, Kallas agreed,
"If [we] look at the messages that come from
the United States, then it is clear that the Russian narrative
is there, very strongly represented."
Thus, Kallas adds to the European pilgrimage
to Washington this week, beginning with French President
Emmanuel Macron at the White House yesterday, pushing against
the U.S. and Russia conferring for the purpose of ending the Ukraine
strife.
In dramatic opposition to the European war-making madness, Russian
and Chinese diplomats at the United Nations spoke out in favor of
initiatives to settle Ukraine, however preliminary they may be.
After the UN Security Council passed a
U.S.-sponsored resolution yesterday calling for a resolution of the
Ukraine-Russia conflict (with France and the U.K. abstaining),
Russian Permanent Representative to the UN
Vassily Nebenzia said,
"The text adopted now is not ideal, but it
is, in fact, the first attempt to adopt a constructive and
future-oriented product of the Council - talking about the path
to peace - rather than escalating the conflict..."
He termed the text "a starting point," and called
for "constructive cooperation" to make it succeed.
Chinese Ambassador to
the UN Fu Cong, explained
why
China supported the U.S.
resolution.
He said,
"China supports the U.S.-Russia agreement to
start peace talks. China expects all parties and stakeholders to
participate in the peace talks at an appropriate time..."
He called out Europe, saying,
"As the fighting is taking place on European
soil, Europe ought to play its part for peace, to jointly
address the root causes of the crisis..."
It is notable that Fu said China has been asked
to help.
"China stands ready to continue to play a
constructive role in the political settlement of the crisis
at the request of the parties concerned, taking into
consideration the concerns of the international community,
especially those of the Global South..."
Yesterday, President Vladimir Putin and
President Xi Jinping had a discussion by phone.
A special contribution to widen this "path toward peace," comes in
the United States today, with the release of The LaRouche
Organization's new broadside,
titled,
"For America's 250th Birthday -
Celebrate American Independence! End the U.S.-British Special
Relationship!".
There will be a rally distribution of it
tomorrow, Wednesday, in Washington, D.C., the day before Prime
Minister "Sir" Keir Starmer (it's hard to write his title without
cringing) arrives at the White House.
