Vance D. Coffman is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Dr. Coffman was elected to his current position in April 1998 having served as CEO and Vice Chairman since August 1997. He has served in a series of elected Corporate leadership positions including President and Chief Operating Officer, and Executive Vice President. He previously was President and Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin's Space & Strategic Missiles Sector. Prior to the merger of Lockheed and Martin Marietta Corporations in 1995, he served as Executive Vice President of Lockheed Corporation. Earlier, he was President of the Space Systems Division of Lockheed Missiles & Space Company and a Vice President of the corporation.
In 1967 Dr. Coffman joined Lockheed's Space Systems Division as a guidance and control systems analyst. After leading the development of several major space programs and large ground data processing systems, he was appointed a vice president in 1985, division vice president and assistant general manager in 1987, and President of the Space Systems Division in 1988. While in this position, he was responsible for the Hubble Space Telescope; the MILSTAR satellite communications program; the Follow-on Early Warning System (now called Space Based Infrared System); and the Corporation's work on Iridium.
Dr. Coffman was elected to the Board of Directors of 3M Company in February 2002, Bristol-Myers Squibb in January 1998 and the United Negro College Fund in October 2001. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), and the Security Affairs Support Association. In 1989, he received Iowa State University's Professional Progress in Engineering Award and in 1999 the Distinguished Achievement Citation from Iowa State. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Aerospace Engineering from Embry- Riddle University, and an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Pepperdine University's George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management. He was elected a Fellow in both the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and in the American Astronautical Society.
Born in Kinross, Iowa on April 3, 1944, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University and Master and Doctoral degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University. He and his wife Arlene have two grown daughters.

Robert J. Stevens is President and Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin and is a member of the Corporation's Board of Directors. Additionally, in February 2001, Mr. Stevens was appointed to serve on President Bush's Commission to examine the Future of the United States Aerospace Industry.
From October 1999 through March 2001, Mr. Stevens served as the Corporation's Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Mr. Stevens held positions as Vice President of the Corporation's Strategic Development organization since November, 1998 and President and Chief Operating Officer of the former Lockheed Martin Energy and Environment Sector. In addition to restructuring Lockheed Martin's energy businesses, he provided leadership for more than 30,000 professional employees principally engaged in Defense Programs, Energy Research, and Environmental Management activities. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sandia Corporation, Energy Research Corporation and Energy Systems Corporation.
Prior to joining the Energy and Environment Sector, Mr. Stevens was President of Lockheed Martin Air Traffic Management where he led a major, successful turnaround. He had served previously as both Executive Vice President and as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for that organization commencing in December 1993.
From 1988 to 1993, Mr. Stevens was the General Manager of Loral Systems Manufacturing Company, having been promoted from Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he held a variety of increasingly responsible management positions in program management, finance, manufacturing, and operations.
Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Mr. Stevens is a summa cum laude graduate of Slippery Rock University. He earned a masters' degree in engineering from the Polytechnic University of New York and, with a Fairchild Fellowship, earned a masters' degree in business from Columbia University through the Masters' Degree Program for Executives. He is a graduate of the Department of Defense Systems Management College Program Management Course and also served in the United States Marine Corps.

Christopher E. Kubasik is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation. Reporting to the Executive Office, he is responsible for all aspects of the corporation's financial strategies, processes and operations. He also serves on the Lockheed Martin Diversity Council.
Mr. Kubasik was appointed to his current position on February 28, 2001. He previously served as Lockheed Martin's Vice President and Controller, a position he had held since November 1999. In that capacity, his team included tax, contracts, government finance, planning, accounting and reporting, international operations, financial shared services and independent cost estimating.
Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. Kubasik spent 17 years with Ernst & Young, LLP, in a variety of increasingly responsible positions. He was named Partner in 1996. Mr. Kubasik gained extensive experience serving a broad spectrum of government contracting and high technology companies.
Mr. Kubasik was born in Cheverly, Maryland, March 26, 1961. He earned his bachelor's degree (Magna Cum Laude) in accounting from the University of Maryland's School of Business in 1983. In 1997, he attended the Executive Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
He resides in Potomac, Maryland, with his wife, Jane, and four children. He is active in his community and serves on the Board of Directors for the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is also on the Advisory Board of the University of Maryland School of Business and serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Maryland Foundation.

Michael F. Camardo was named executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Corporation, effective October 1, 1999, coinciding with the Corporation's strategic realignment. Camardo has specific corporate oversight of the technology services business area, based in Cherry Hill, N.J.
Previously, he was President of Lockheed Martin Technology Services Group, a unit consisting of seven businesses within the former Information & Services Sector.
Camardo joined the Lockheed Martin organization as a financial analyst in 1964 with the RCA Service Company. He held a series of increasingly responsible positions in management, and was named Division Vice President of Government Services in 1984. In 1986, RCA merged with GE, and, in 1990, Camardo was named President of the company under its new name GE Government Services. He was named President of Martin Marietta Services Group upon completion of the Martin Marietta-GE Aerospace merger in April of 1993, and became President of Lockheed Martin Services Group (now Technology Services Group) upon completion of the Lockheed- Martin Marietta merger in March of 1995.
Camardo received a BS in economics from Villanova University. He is a board member of the Executive Advisory Council for Rutgers University and is chairman of the board of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. He also is on the boards of the Haddonfield Symphony Orchestra and the American Red Cross.

Robert B. Coutts was promoted to Executive Vice President of the Lockheed Martin Corporation in October 1999, with responsibility for the Corporation's $9 billion Systems Integration business area. He previously was President and Chief Operating Officer of the $7 billion Electronics Sector, having been appointed to that position in September 1998. Earlier, Mr. Coutts was President of Lockheed Martin Government Electronic Systems in Moorestown, New Jersey. He was elected an officer of the Corporation by the Lockheed Martin Board of Directors in December 1996. Mr. Coutts is also a member of the boards of directors of Lockheed Martin Finance Corporation, Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems, Inc., and Lockheed Martin UK.
Mr. Coutts joined Aero & Naval Systems as President in August 1994. Previously, he served as Vice President, Material Acquisition and Subcontract Management for Martin Marietta, where he supported 15 locations across the major aerospace groups of the Corporation.
Prior to joining Martin Marietta during the GE Aerospace merger in 1993, Mr. Coutts served as General Manager of the GE Aerospace Operations Division's Syracuse-Utica Manufacturing Operations Department, where he was responsible for the production of radar and sonar systems representing more than $400 million in annual sales.
Mr. Coutts began his career at the General Electric Corporation in 1972. After graduating from the GE Manufacturing Management Program (MMP), he held two positions in Lynn, Massachusetts before moving to the Carboloy Division of General Electric, first in Michigan and then in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he served as Plant Manager. Mr. Coutts returned to the Aircraft Engine Group in 1983 and held managerial positions in Albuquerque, New Mexico before becoming the Plant Manager at Engine's turbine component facility in Madisonville, Kentucky.
In 1989, he joined the Aircraft Engine Production Division Staff in Evendale, Ohio as Manager of Inventory and Asset Management, where he remained until becoming General Manager at the Syracuse-Utica Manufacturing Operations Department.
A native of Westbury, New York, Mr. Coutts holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts University. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and of Tau Beta Pi Honorary Engineering Fraternity.
Robert Coutts has maintained a strong personal commitment to the community and civic organizations in the areas where he has lived and worked. At prior locations, he has been a vice president and board member of two different YMCAs, an officer and board member of a County United Way, and served in volunteer positions with the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Area Boy Scout Council. He is a member of the board of directors of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and he also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Maryvale Preparatory School; the Board of Overseers, College of Engineering, Tufts University; and the Board of Governors of Wesley Theological Seminary.

Dain M. Hancock is Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin Corporation and President of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. He provides strategy, guidance and oversight for all the aircraft development and production programs of Lockheed Martin Corporation, including the F-22, F-16, C-130J, Joint Strike Fighter, F- 117, U-2 and others.
Mr. Hancock was named Executive Vice President of the Aeronautical Systems Business Area of Lockheed Martin on 5 November 1999. He assumed the additional position of Aeronautics Company President on 27 January 2000, when it was announced that Lockheed Martin's aircraft-related businesses would be consolidated in a single operating entity.
He previously served as President of Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems in Fort Worth, Texas, having been appointed to that position in March 1995. He was responsible for domestic and international F-16 programs, the F-2 program for Japan, the IDF program for Taiwan, and a number of other fighter aircraft business efforts while serving as President of Tactical Aircraft Systems. His responsibilities also included relationships with partners and suppliers throughout the world.
Mr. Hancock was named a Corporate Vice President of Lockheed Corporation in March 1993, when Lockheed acquired the former Fort Worth Division from General Dynamics. He was Vice President of F- 16 Programs for General Dynamics beginning in August 1989.
Mr. Hancock served as Vice President for Program Development at the Fort Worth Division beginning in May 1988, with responsibility for new-business and planning-related functions. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice President for F-16 International Programs beginning in March 1985.
He began his industrial career with General Dynamics Fort Worth Division in 1966 and served in increasingly responsible positions in Research and Engineering, Program Management and Marketing. Mr. Hancock assumed the position of Director of the F-16C/D Program in 1980.
Born on 24 August 1941 in Peekskill, New York, he graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1964. He earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institute in 1966. Mr. Hancock is currently Co-Chairman of the North Texas Science and Technology Coalition, is a member of the International Board of Visitors for the Texas Christian University M. J. Executive Vice President, Space Systems
Albert E. Smith is Executive Vice President of the $5.8 billion Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company and also an officer of the Lockheed Martin Corporation. He was promoted in September 1999 from his previous position as President of Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, one of the principal operating elements comprising Space Systems.
Before joining Space Systems, Smith was President of Lockheed Martin Aerospace Electronics Systems, which includes Sanders, Space Electronics & Communications, Fairchild Systems, and IR Imaging Systems. He had served as President of the Sanders division before his promotion to Aerospace Electronic Systems.
Smith joined Lockheed in 1985 as Director of Communications Systems Engineering in the company's Space Systems Division. Over the next 10 years, he advanced through positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President, MILSTAR Program; Vice President and Assistant General Manager, Advanced Government and Commercial Systems; and President of the Space Systems Division. Smith also served as President and Chairman at Lockheed Khrunichev Energia, a Proton rocket joint venture with Russian industry.
Prior to joining the Lockheed Corporation, Smith served with the Central Intelligence Agency, first as chief engineer of a CIA ground- station facility, and later as division manager responsible for program management of classified large-scale engineering projects.
Smith holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston and is a graduate of executive programs at Dartmouth and Stanford universities. James F. Gibbons has
been a distinguished member of the faculty at Stanford University since 1957. He
frequently consults with SRI International on technology planning and joined the
board of directors in 1998. Gibbons has served on the boards of several leading
technology companies, including Cisco Systems, Raychem and
Lockheed-Martin.
Gibbons' research
accomplishments are in the area of semiconductor device analysis, process
physics technology and solar energy. He has written or co-written several books
and nearly 300 papers. Gibbons was named Special Counsel to Stanford University
President and Provost for Industry Relations in 1966. He is credited with
developing the Tutored Video Instruction Technique, a model for education of
engineers, with colleagues from Stanford in 1972. In recent years, he applied
that model to improve productivity and quality in children's education,
particularly for children of migrant farm workers and at-risk teens.
Gibbons has received
many awards and was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering, the
National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy or Arts and Sciences. In
1997, he was inducted into the Santa Clara County Business Hall of Fame and was
one of three chosen for the Silicon Valley Engineering Hall of
Fame.

Gwendolyn S. King was elected to the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs, PECO Energy Company, effective October 1, 1992, and retired from the company on February 1, 1998. At PECO Mrs. King was responsible for the management of government and media relations, development and implementation of the company’s corporate giving and public policy positions, and internal and external communications. In 1994 she was appointed by President Clinton to the Notch Commission.
In August 1989, Mrs. King was appointed by President Bush as the 11th Commissioner of Social Security, where she served for three years. Before taking the top post in the Social Security, Mrs. King was the Executive Vice President of the of the Washington consulting firm of Gogol and Associates and was appointed by Ronald Reagan to the Board for International Food and Agricultural Development.
From 1986 to 1988, Mrs. King served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House. In that capacity, Mrs. King had the primary responsibility of working with the nation’s governors, mayors, and State legislators to keep the White House lines of communication open to elected officials. She was appointed by the President as Chairwoman, White House Task Force on Puerto Rico; Commissioner, Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations; and Member, Interagency Committee on Women’s Business Enterprise.
Prior to her service in the White House, Mrs. King directed Pennsylvania’s first full-time, professionally staffed Washington, D.C. office.
From 1978 through 1979, Mrs. King served as senior legislative assistant to the late U.S. Senator John Heinz. She began her government career in the US Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
A 1962 cum laude graduate of Howard University, she has done graduate study in public administration (1972-1974) at George Washington University and completed the University of Pennsylvania Wharton/SpencerStuart Directors Institute in 1993. She was awarded honorary doctorates of Humane Letters (1992) and Public Service (1990) by the University of New Haven and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, respectively. She received the 1990 Drum Major for Justice Award from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the 1991 Howard University Alumni Award for Postgraduate Achievement, and the 1992 American Black Achievement Award in the category of Business and the Professions. She received the 1994 Director’s Choice Award from the National Women’s Economic Alliance Foundation for leadership as an outstanding corporate director.
Mrs. King is a director of the Lockheed Martin Corporation and Pharmacia Corporation. She is a trustee of the Council for Excellence in Government, the Center for Excellence in Education and is an active member of the boards of the National Adoption Center and the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management.
